High-pressure excavator seal storage method

High-pressure excavator seals and supports are often stored in spare parts for a long period of time. The physical properties of most rubber materials change during storage and can no longer be used, such as: excessive hardness, excessive softness, cracks and cracks, or other forms of surface aging. These changes are the result of a particular factor or a combination of factors, such as deformation, oxygen, ozone, light, heat, humidity, or oils and solvents. If some simple measures are taken, the shelf life of these products can be greatly extended. In order to maintain the best physical and chemical properties of the components, the following rules should be observed:

Heat: The ideal storage temperature is +5°C to +25°C. Avoid direct contact with heat sources such as boilers, radiators, and direct sunlight. If the temperature is lower than +5°C, the excavator seals may be stiff and care should be taken when handling. The temperature of the excavator seal should be raised to about 25°C before use.
Oxygen and Ozone: If possible, elastomers should be packaged and stored in a sealed container, free from air. Since ozone can damage elastomers, there should not be equipment that can generate ozone, such as ultraviolet lamps, high voltage equipment, motors, spark sources, or static discharges, in the space where the elastomers are stored. Combustion gases and organic vapors also produce ozone under photochemical effects, so these gases cannot be stored in the storage chamber.
Humidity: The relative humidity in the storage room should be less than 70%. Avoid excessively moist or too dry.
Light: The rubber-like excavator seals should be stored away from light, in particular, they cannot be stored under sunlight or under artificial light containing ultraviolet light. Parts are individually packaged with UV protection packaging. It is recommended to cover the storage room window with red or orange curtains.
Radiation: In the presence of electronic radiation, special protection should be taken to the parts to prevent damage to the parts.
